Atlassian is looking for an experienced and talented Engineering Manager to lead the Atlassian Access Team in Mountain View. This role is one of a kind within Atlassian where you'll be contributing to Atlassian's newest product - Atlassian Access. This product offering is targeted at IT admins and brings a slew of user management, user security, and content security features to Atlassian's cloud offerings. This Engineering Manager will be responsible for building effective teams, empowering them to achieve their goals, and putting those goals into broader context. Your greatest responsibility will be looking after the individuals reporting to you – coaching and supporting them in their professional development, unlocking their potential, and challenging them to step outside their comfort zone to grow and excel. 
Job Responsibilities:
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
• Industry experience leading a team of Engineers either directly or indirectly as a Tech Lead
• 5+ years of prior industry experience as a backend or full stack engineer
• Experience building distributed systems for a SaaS product
• Demonstrated experience with continuous delivery
• Familiarity with software development methodologies including Agile, Scrum
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Passionate about mentoring engineers and helping others achieve their career goals
• Fluency in Java (read code, provide feedback, etc.)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
It's great, but not required, if you have:
• Experience using AWS (esp. DynamoDB) and Docker containers
• Familiarity with the Spring framework
