At AKQA we believe in the imaginative application of art and science to create beautiful ideas, products and services. With an entrepreneurial and collaborative approach, we design adaptive digital services and applications that capture the imagination, delivering impressive returns for our clients.  AKQA is currently home to more than 2,000 employees in 23 studios around the world. Clients include Activision, Audi, Caterpillar, Levi Strauss & Co, Peet’s and TOMS.

AKQA technologists are inspired by technology and have a passion for creating innovative technical solutions. The Principal Front-End Developer is solution-minded and demonstrates strong leadership of development teams.

AKQA technologists function as a team of highly skilled people, all with strong opinions about various technologies, frameworks and approaches to delivery. A Principal Front-End Developer will operate as a tech lead – mentoring and leading a team of developers, overseeing technical execution, translating business requirements into technical tasks, and ensuring delivery timelines are met. They will be able to articulate ideas to technical and non-technical colleagues and clients, while remaining receptive to the ideas of others.

From our location in San Francisco’s SOMA district – the epicenter of the Bay Area’s technology industry – AKQA offers our staff the opportunity to produce meaningful work for world-class companies in one of the world’s most vibrant and beautiful cities.
