Adaptly Engineering is looking to hire a talented DevOps engineer to help our world class team build the best ad management application on the market. You are a self-motivated hands-on DevOps engineer with strong work ethic who wants to grow and improve the infrastructure, systems and tools that support our operations.  You are excited to take on any task and coordinate with a globally distributed team that is focused on bringing the power of cross publisher advertising to our global client base.
 
Our front-end is written in CoffeeScript with Backbone (older features) and JavaScript and React (new features). Our back-end stack consists of Ruby on Rails, Clojure, Postgres, and Redis.
 
*This opening is for an intermediate to senior level DevOps engineer according to education, ability and experience. 
This is a hands-on position and relies on collaboration, looking for candidates that:
·      Enjoy independence but understand the importance of group success.
·      Are intellectually curious, passionate about continuous learning and professional growth.
·      Are quick learners who understands the changing landscape of cloud providers and bring best practices to the team.
·      Have the ability to summarize the work and communicate status, plan iterative improvements and multitask.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a champion for operating things at scale in the cloud (AWS).
  • Use your programming background to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Work in a highly collaborative environment with our engineering organization and take our existing tools to the next level.
  • Multi-task, prioritize, show initiative and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Build development, testing and production environments and assist developers in debugging application issues.
  • Follow best practices around documentation and troubleshooting.
  • Strong 3+ years' experience with:

  • Linux (CoreOS, Alpine, Debian/Ubuntu) & NGINX administration, security and configuration management.
  • Operational scripts in bash and ruby (Clojure a plus).
  • Cloudformation, S3, RDS, Cloudwatch, Route53, EC2, SNS, SQS, ELB.
  • PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, (Big Data a plus)
  • Jenkins (Jenkins Pipeline a plus)
  • Http and AMQP protocols.
  • AWS auto-scaling infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes a plus)
  • Setting up logging, monitoring and alerting systems.
