3Pillar Global is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer with expertise and experience in AWS Infrastructure support & ITIL processes i.e. change management, incident management & problem management. The duties associated with this position include analysis of problems, introduction of best practices, and solving specific application related issues
Responsible for Receiving, Recording, and Responding and resolving incidents.
24/7/365 Level 2 technical support
Proactive Product production and development environment monitoring
Incident response time based on severity of an incident
Support and administration of Client’s AWS hosting infrastructure for the Product
Optimization of Client’s AWS hosting infrastructure
Candidate would be responsible for:
System, application and logs monitoring for the Product, including, server health checks, application uptime monitoring, and log monitoring for issues that may not be apparent via end users or system metrics. Should one of these monitoring activities fail, a system alert would be generated.
Monitoring of the click data ingestion processes which includes following and adding to reprocessing workarounds
General system administration, including OS level maintenance and troubleshooting, along with basic application support and standard operating procedures
Management of Client’s Amazon Web Service account
Monthly report generation, manual monitoring testing, AWS account management, and AWS use audits and review
3-6 years of experience in Technical support role.
Communication – Communication should be clear and confident, to be able to interact directly with client (verbal and written).
AWS: Strong understanding ad experience with the following AWS Services which are core to our infrastructure: EC2, ELBs, AMIs, S3, SES, IAM, VPC, and Cloud Watch are required.
Would prefer familiarity with following AWS services: Cloud Front, RDS, Dynamo DB, Elastic Cache, Redshift, EMR, Directory Service, and API Gateway as well.
Comfortable with managing AWS using either the AWS cli or PowerShell interface.
Linux Server Administration: Creating new servers, updating servers, troubleshooting existing servers.
Monitoring: Experience with a monitoring platform and familiarity with zabbix
Willing to work in shifts.
