Do you want to build and improve THE online platform for global manufacturing? Read on because we’re expanding our Data team!
At 3D Hubs, we love data and use it extensively to improve our customer experience and make better decisions. To us data = decision. Therefore there are many places that we use data, for example with Deep Learning, to understand 3D models and improve our pricing. Result: as a Data Engineer you have a huge impact on the growth of our business.
Your main responsibility is getting data quickly and reliable to the colleagues that need it. Dark data is a no go. You'll build solid data pipelines and effortlessly combine data from different sources (Databases, APIs and S3). You will work directly with colleagues from teams across the whole company and assist them in creating their own reporting. But it doesn’t stop there: after creating the reports you’ll make sure they get a better at understanding our data. The challenge is to keep our data platform both simple and reliable while processing millions of events.
To accomplish the above we are looking for a experienced engineer to join us as a foundational member of the team. You will be required to understand the challenges that are involved in managing a rapidly growing set of terabytes of data, eager to use automation to keep that data clean and willing to constantly experiment with new technologies. Since we're a fast growing start-up we are looking for someone who can match our fast pace and is hungry to own and improve our platform.
Our Data Tech Stack: RDS and Aurora (PostgreSQL)Redshift, Airflow, Segment.io, Mixpanel, Mode Analytics, Machine Learning (Tensorflow), Python(Flask/SQL Alchemy), Rabbit, MQ, Docker, AWS: EC2, S3, SageMaker etc.

You will:

  • Help build and scale our data platform (while keeping it clean)
  • Write clean and tested code
  • Automate our data collection and bring the data to the colleagues who need it
  • Help colleagues create reports and understand the data you have created
  • Improve decision making at 3D Hubs based on your data
  • You have:

  • A Master’s degree in CS, Engineering, Econometrics or Mathematics
  • Worked with various RDBMS (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and workflows (Airflow or similar)
