1776 is seeking an outstanding Software Architect to join our product & engineering team who build a platform centralizing the start-up connection, curriculum, event and community experience for incubators and accelerators globally. If you want to build your career in a fast-paced environment where you can collaborate with the some of the most prominent investor and startup ecosystems, then we are a good match. Your job is to design and build the core web and mobile platform that connects thousands of startups around the world with the community and resources they need to grow. We want someone with outstanding technical skills, but we also want a leader who cares deeply about the quality of the product and the direction of the company. Preferred Technical Experience

  • Comfortable working with rapid application frameworks such as Ruby on Rails
  • Experience with consumer web applications deployed on a cloud infrastructure like AWS
  • Experience with product decisions with implementation trade-offs based on customer use cases and engagement metrics
  • Experience architecting microservices and APIs
  • Experience analyzing 3rd party libraries and determining integration trade-offs
  • Data model design experience with the ability to balance between performance and feature future-proofing
  • Experience delivering quality features within an agile software development lifecycle, including using testing frameworks like RSpec and CircleCI
  • Additional Technical Experience

  • Passion for building features that deliver and delight customers

  • Experience building iOS and Android applications and launching in app stores
